Salma Yaqoob Kicks Off the 2009 Muslim Riot in Birmingham

Whose streets? Our streets! Whose streets? Our streets!....” - Salma Yaqoob

In 2009 (8th August), hundreds of Muslims marauded around the city-center streets of Birmingham randomly attacking any non-Muslim (i.e., white) shopper they could find.

That riot was a very direct response to Councillor Salma Yaqoob's chants during a UAF-SWP-Muslim rally held just before the riot.

Yaqoob is a former Birmingham councillor and leader of Respect. And now she's a writer for the Guardian and a popular dinner-party guest.

In that speech, Yaqoob hypocritically talked about EDL “hatred”, “violence” and “bigotry”. And, in the process, initiated and encouraged one of the worst riots in Birmingham's history.

Muslims Embracing Diversity

Yaqoob also has a history - dating back to 1998 - of supporting, defending, justifying and rationalising Islamic terrorism. (She described the London bombings - of 2005 - as  “reprisal attacks”.) That is, 1998 is three years before she claims she became “radicalised” after being spat at after 9/11. The bit about spitting is almost certainly a lie on Yaqoob's part. The other bit about being “radicalised” is a lie. (Yaqoob formed and led the campaign ‘Justice for the Yemen Seven [terrorists]’ in 1998.)

Yaqoob's "reprisal attack".

So immediately after her words in Birmingham city center, the riot started. Basically, she fired up her Muslim troops and then those troops committed acts of random violence against the shoppers of Birmingham.

Needless to say, Yaqoob has never been prosecuted for incitement to violence by the police. (She's a friend of Chief Constable Chris Sims.) This must primarily be because she has brown skin and positive/inverse racism - as everyone knows - is all the rage nowadays. It must also have been partly due to the fact that she's a favourite guest at the dinner parties held by the extremely condescending inverse/positive racists of the Leftist middle-class.

This is a comment from Harry's Place:

The majority of the people who were attacked were random passers by. The [EDL] had long gone by then. If you were a White male passing by the crowd you were going to get a kicking. There was even a foreign White guy who made the mistake of taking pictures of what was going on and he was attacked in front of his young baby who was left unprotected in its pram..... Ironically the UAF scarpered when they saw what was beginning to happen with the ethnic minority youths attacking innocent White passers by (not saying that a few of the people who were set upon weren’t inciting the minorities because they were, but the vast majority just made the mistake of being in the wrong place at the wrong time) so it seems that the UAF only protest against racism when it is White racism directed towards ethnic minorities, not when it is the other way around.”
