SCHOOL OF HATE: Muslim boys of 12 post death threats to pupil for backing Brit troops

18th November 2010, by Ross Kaniuk, from the Daily Star

TWO Muslim boys have been barred from school for making death threats to a classmate who supported British troops.

The 12-year-olds set up the Muslim Defence League on Facebook to “celebrate” British deaths in Afghanistan.

Two members of the group sent chilling messages to Darius Gill, 13, whose dad is Asian.

The youngster posted a touching Remembrance Day tribute to the hundreds of squaddies who lost their lives fighting for our country.

But when his Facebook page was spotted by pals at the Sidney Stringer Academy, Coventry, one boy posted a pic of himself holding a rifle. A message threatened: “Fight on Monday gonna be heavy knuckle dusters nd knifes hopefully I don’t die.”

His illiterate pal added: “ill bang him ma slef am a terrorist.”

Other pupils who joined the Muslim Defence League also added comments. Six students have been suspended from school for the hate campaign. Darius’s mother Clare Allington read the comments on Monday morning, the day of the promised attack, and pulled her son out of school.

Clare, 42, said: “They were planning to attack him that day so I rang the school straight away. I usually keep an eye on what Darius posts on Facebook but I didn’t last weekend. If I hadn’t read the threats and pulled my son out of school he could be dead.”

School principal Wendy Thomas said: “All the students involved told me they did not mean what they said but they will learn a hard lesson.”

  1. Will those children go on the register for racism and hate speech or is it only for white kids?
