The EDL Says: Take the Rough With the Smooth [by Scott_Lee]

If it wasn't for negative media coverage I would never have heard of the EDL and I would not have joined and attended the 2 demos that I have so far...

I saw first hand the trouble at both Dudley and Aylesbury and in the grand scheme of things it was relatively minor. Yes it brought bad press upon the EDL but when you look at that bad press and then see the actual footage of the incidents in question it shows the media up for the bunch of sensationalist, lying tossers they truly are!

People are slowly waking up to our cause, people are doing their own homework and finding out more about what is going on around them but it will not happen overnight and to be this at all, you have got to be in it for the long haul and you have to take the rough with the smooth!

"You cannot make omelettes without breaking eggs."

I seriously think that anybody at this early stage who is upset by a little bit of disruption should question whether they really have the stomach for this.

This is going to get a whole lot worse before it gets any better and there will not be a fairy tale ending to it!
