Chomsky licked his lips over 9/11

“... ‬for the first time in history the victims are returning the blow to the motherland.‭”

- (‬La Jornada,‭ ‬Mexico,‭ ‬September‭ ‬15,‭ ‬2001‭) ‬-‭ ‬Chomsky

What a silly man. How far does he think he has to go to distance himself from his Jewish background and from the United States which has given him so much work and prosperity over the last 50 or more years?

The sick killers who were responsible for 9/11 weren’t ‘returning the blow to the motherland’. They killed innocent civilians who weren’t involved in the American military.

I know that many Muslims think that all Jews are guilty. And that many leftists think that all capitalists must die. But this attack was not even on a military target. How can that be a 'blow to the motherland'? In fact, there were many Leftist and pacifist victims of 9/11. It was certainly the case that over one hundred Muslims died. (But they will die as ‘martyrs’ because civilians who have died at the hands of Fatah, or Hamas, are reclassified as ‘martyrs’ if they are finally discovered to be innocent of 'collaboration’ with Jews or Israelis.)

Isn’t it funny how far Leftists excuse or rationalise all acts of Islamic or Islamist violence, yet any tiny bad action by the United States is blown up out of all proportion. Think of Gautanano Bay and Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. All small-fry offences when compared to the huge crimes of the Ayatollah Khomeini, or Saddam Hussein, or North Korea, or Pol Pot. The difference is that these things become news - they are highlighted! - in the US. The Arab world survives hardly untouched by foreign journalists unless there is an 'Iraq war’ or an ‘Arab spring’ onto which they can project their own Islingtonian views about Justice and peace.

This man, Chomsky, must surely realise the whole contradiction of his entire life. All the states and dictators he has loved and still loves (both Islamist and Leftist ones) would never have given him even half the freedom he has enjoyed to wage his war against ‘capitalist democracy’. He would have remained unknown - or have been killed - he he had moved to Saudi Arabia or even his beloved Palestine or Cuba.

  1. It's very shocking to see you twist so many falsehoods and half truths to make truth fit the coat you want it to wear. intelligent people don't speak in badly researched, completely biased didactics and diatribes. I suggest you familiarise yourself with the history of the FBI, CIA and the covert political operations of the USA in the last 100 years. I would also recommend you read the works of Professor Chomsky and Dr Finkelstein without prejudice before you make erroneous and scurrilous claims about them and having the temerity to name-call such a pre-eminent elder statesman a 'silly man' was a really low blow that makes the caller himself look silly... bigotry can be eradicated and ignorance dispelled, but you have to have the ethics and moral courage to want it.
