Has this journalist been spoon-fed by Martin Smith (whom he quotes later)? Does he want it to be an expression of race hate so that he can make certain ideological points against the EDL? Who knows? Nothing is argued for in this pathetic news item. I mean. What a non-story! A couple of examples of graffiti. It’s the political equivalent of a cat getting stuck up a tree! Then again, it is a local rag.]
EDL graffiti in the alley behind Woodhall Parade:
The alley, at the rear of the row of shops in Woodhall parade is strewn with graffiti, including evidence of support for extremist protest group the English Defence League (EDL), which has been branded a racist organisation. [Yes, 'branded as an extremist organisation’ by this journalist himself, and by his violent friend, Martin Smith.]
Martin Smith, a national officer for campaign group Unite Against Fascism, grew up in WGC and slammed the graffiti. [Why do regional and local journalists treat members of the far left, like the violent Martin Smith (who supports radical and revolutionary violence), with kid gloves; but, on the other hand, carry out numerous witch hunts against ostensibly ‘far right’ groups like the EDL? Why the double standards? Why the utter hypocrisy? Doesn’t this journalist have any idea what happened in China, Cambodia, North Korea, Soviet Russia, Cuba, etc? Or have leftist totalitarians - or red fascists - ‘got their hearts in the right place’ despite their strong commitment to violence and the killing of all enemies and subversives?]
He told the Welwyn Hatfield Times: “I have a close affinity with the town.
“WGC has always been a town where people of different races and faiths live and work side by side.
“The community has always been united. [What does that actually mean? Does that statement actually have any content or is it just a leftist soundbite?]
“The last thing the town needs is a racist organisation like the English Defence League coming here to promote racial hatred and violence.” [The EDL is not about race, it is about culture. It is against a culture – Islam - that is itself supremacist, racist, brutal, arrogant, expansionist and self-segregating. None of this has anything to do with race, except Islamic racism (or Arabocentrism).]
He called for the ‘tags’ to be scrubbed off immediately and added: “All good people of the town should stand together and say the EDL are not welcome here.” [Some EDL actually live there! They do not need your ‘welcome’!]
The area has also become a hub for yobs according to Woodhall traders. [A hell of a lot of yobbism comes from Muslim youths these days. Grooming, drug-dealing, pimping, gang violence, gun crimes and all the rest.]
A shopkeeper spoke of the menace and called for Pcso patrols to take place in the area at night, not just during the day.
The shop owner, who did not wish to be named, said: “You get kids hanging around the alley at the back drinking and smoking. [As they do throughout the country. What the hell has all this got to do with the EDL and ‘race hate’?]
“I did tell the Pcsos; they’re here in the day but they’re not at evening time.”
He said problem youths regularly came into his shop and loitered until he tells them to go away. He added: “Then they get around the back [of the shop] and climb onto the roof.
“I don’t want to lose customers because at evening times they [youngsters] hang around and scare my customers away.”
Another former trader said: “It’s terrible.
“They are always hanging around and trying to break into the back of the shops.”
