On Hizb-ut-Tahrir [by Lotta]

When Hizb-ut-Tahrir gained influence in the area where I live (very close to the 7/7 bombing site) there was a very real change in the local community. Young men, who usually talked about Arsenal, girls, going out clubbing, etc., started wearing Middle Eastern clothes and reacting with hate towards their neighbours, especially women. Ordinary local English/Bengali and English/Somali neighbours were upset by Hizb-ut-Tahrir and wanted them gone.

At a rally held in Hyde Park, women from Hizb-ut-Tahrir bullied other women from the movement and even ran at some of the women aggressively to keep them seperate and at a distance from the men.

Hizb-ut-Tahrir are extremists and incite hate.

Amazingly and worryingly Hizb-ut-Tahrir have had the support of the Quakers! Community centres and hotels let Hizb-ut-Tahrir hold meetings. As this has adverse effects on communities, I think that they should be banned.
